NIS App Terms and Conditions of Use

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms", "Terms of Use") carefully before using the NIS App (the "Service") operated by NIS School (the "School", "Us", "We", or "Our").
Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on Your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users (including Students, Parents, and Teachers), and others who access or use the Service.
By accessing or using the Service, You agree to be bound by these Terms. If You disagree with any part of the terms, You may not access the Service.
1. Definitions
- Account: A uniquely assigned credential for a user (Student, Parent, or Teacher) to access the Service.
- NIS App (the Service): The mobile and/or web application provided by NIS for administrative, educational, and communication purposes.
- User: Refers collectively to Students, Parents, and Teachers who are authorized to use the App.
- School Content: All information, including grades, attendance records, announcements, assignments, and curriculum materials posted by the School or its staff via the App.
2. User Accounts and Responsibilities
2.1. Eligibility and Authorization
- Access to the Service is granted exclusively to currently enrolled NIS Students, their registered Parents/Guardians, and current NIS Faculty/Staff.
- Parents are responsible for ensuring that their access to the Service is used appropriately and is not shared with unauthorized individuals.
- Teachers/Staff must use the App professionally and responsibly, adhering to all School policies regarding student data and communication.
2.2. Account Security
- You are responsible for safeguarding the password and credentials that You use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under Your password, whether Your password is with Our Service or a third-party service.
- You agree not to disclose Your password to any third party, including other Students or Parents. Teachers must maintain the highest level of confidentiality for their accounts.
- You must notify Us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of Your Account.
2.3. Student Use
- Students are expected to use the App for educational purposes only (e.g., checking grades, viewing assignments, accessing resources).
- Students must adhere to the School's Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Code of Conduct when using any communication feature within the App.
3. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Activities
3.1. General Conduct
You agree not to use the Service:
- In any way that violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- To engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Service, or which, as determined by the School, may harm the School or Users of the Service.
- For any form of cyberbullying, harassment, hate speech, or inappropriate communication directed at any User (Student, Parent, or Teacher).
3.2. Data Misuse
You are strictly prohibited from:
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other Users' Accounts, data, or restricted areas of the App.
- Sharing or publicly displaying another User's Personal Data (including grades, attendance, or private messages) found on the App without explicit authorization.
- Using the App to disseminate personal information, advertisements, or content unrelated to school business.
4. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding User-provided data), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of NIS School. The School Content (e.g., curriculum materials, school logo, lesson plans) is protected by copyright and other laws of Egypt and foreign countries.
5. Termination
We may terminate or suspend Your Account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if You breach these Terms. Termination may occur upon a student's withdrawal or graduation, or upon a staff member's departure from the School.
Upon termination, Your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall NIS School or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use or alteration of Your transmissions or content.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Egypt, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
8. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right, at Our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. By continuing to access or use Our Service after those revisions become effective, You agree to be bound by the revised terms.
